HR Operations Business Partner – San Francisco, CA

We have a new health technology client that offers testing services. This is a well-funded start-up company that is looking to round out their leadership team. As the Business Partner to our Commercial Operations team, you will be a core member of the company’s People Operations department. Key to success in this role will be supporting a team of managers in all aspects of employee on-boarding, development, performance management and retention. In addition, you will work closely with other People Ops team members to create, roll out and manage company-wide initiatives.

Requirements Include:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience handling a full range of people issues and program implementation within a high-growth company
  • Experience working with a Sales group preferred
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, relationship building, consulting and teamwork
  • Ability to interact with people on all levels and to manage tough conversations
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals
  • Willingness and excitement about “getting hands dirty” with regards to day to day HR functions (employee relations, performance management, facilitation, coaching, HR administrative tasks and responding to inquiries)
  • Natural tendency towards discretion
  • Desire to make a sizeable and measurable impact in a company
  • Desire to learn and grow into a larger role
Duties Include:
  • Partner with executive leadership and department managers to drive people-related projects and initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of People Ops contact for the Commercial Operations teams
  • Provide all people-related support and contribute to People Ops projects and key initiatives
  • Utilize superb project management, facilitation, and communication expertise to deliver relevant, effective HR solutions and produce results
  • Act as a trusted resource to managers and employees on a wide variety of topics and guide employees to people, tools, and resources
  • Guide, train, and direct employees on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and compliance
  • Participate in culture groups and provide guidance and support to a growing team of engineers and scientists
