Our client is looking for 2 Health & Safety Engineers with a Construction background. The Health and Safety Engineer is responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of H&S disciplines. Candidates should have direct supervisory experience of major construction projects and Cal-OSHA certification. Construction background or experience in manufacturing, raw materials, petroleum/oil refinery industries (highly preferred).
The Health and Safety Engineer is responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of H&S disciplines. By developing, implementing and maintaining programs, the H&S Engineer will help create and streamline the systems and procedures necessary to ensure the overall health and safety of employees and contractors. The overall goal is achieving compliance within the company and regulatory agency standards in each of these disciplines. The ideal candidate works well on both self-initiated projects and those driven by concerns and issues reported by co-workers. The ideal candidate also takes pride in his/her analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail.
